ATTENTION:

The weekly publication of CHANGEWORKS [version 2.0] has begun. The 2.0 version number reflects the importance of the new software infrastructure behind the employment bulletin. The custom database, for example, structures each employment listing and ensures that each listing is accurate, complete, and easy to read.

The content & design of this website is also being upgraded at this time. Please feel free to contact me with corrections or suggestions when webpages are changed. Thank you for your patience.

INTRODUCTION TO CHANGEWORKS

The CHANGEWORKS newsletter lists new jobs, careers, paid internships and paid fellowships at progressive social change organizations across the United States. The newsletter is published weekly (48 issues/year), distributed via email and postal mail.

CHANGEWORKS covers a large variety of progressive employers, like organizations advocating for civil liberties, civil rights, and human rights of all kinds — including women's reproductive rights, immigrant rights, GLBT rights, immigrant rights, prisoner rights, and disability rights.

Plus, the newsletter covers environmental and environmental justice groups; labor unions and labor-community coalitions; public-interest law firms; economic and social justice groups; progressive think tanks and foundations; feminist bookstores and radical publishers; progressive left political campaigns; as well as peace and social justice groups.

Radically new types of progressive activist organizations, like social-change video game developers, are even covered by CHANGEWORKS.

Changeworks Press accepts and receives relevant job announcements from employers without solicitation. But CHANGEWORKS aims for comprehensive coverage — and comprehensive coverage requires active research. So every day, the websites of over one thousand U.S.-based employers are checked for new or revised employment announcements. Then additional research is then frequently done to provide subscribers with detailed application instructions, including the names and titles of the persons evaluating incoming applications within the organizations.
